Technology
Moulding
We produce medium and large castings in single-piece, small-batch, and medium-volume production using self-hardening furan-bonded moulding sand, with a computer-controlled FTL continuous sand mixer.
Our moulds are manufactured using green sand (bentonite-bonded moulding sand) as well as self-hardening moulding sands, including furan-bonded and water glass-bonded systems.
For high-volume machine moulding, we operate two types of moulding machines: FKT 65 and FKT 54.
Depending on customer requirements and the manufacturing process, we use metal, plywood, resin, and expanded polystyrene (EPS) patterns.
Melting
Our foundry manufactures castings weighing from 0.5 kg to 1,000 kg.
Melting is carried out using induction furnaces with capacities of 300 kg, 500 kg, 800 kg, and 1,000/1,500 kg, as well as a modernized cupola furnace.
Cleaning and Fettling
The cleaning of castings in our company is carried out in two stages. The first stage involves preliminary cleaning in three shot-blasting machines: OWD 1000 and OWT 400, several corundum tumbling machines, as well as in a sandblasting unit. The second stage consists of manual fettling performed using large bench grinders, as well as pneumatic and electric hand grinders.
Core Production
Cores for moulds are manufactured using the following technologies:
– hot-box process
– oil-bonded sand cores
– CO₂-cured resin-bonded sand cores
– self-hardening furan resin sand cores
– sodium silicate (water glass) bonded sand cores cured with CO₂ gas
Laboratory
Our company has access to a laboratory equipped with the following:
– a spectrometer for analysing the chemical composition of metals
– hardness testers
– a metallographic examination station
– a mechanical testing station
– a moulding sand testing station
